Safety testing of unpowered children's playground equipment

  After the installation of non powered children's play equipment is completed, it must pass a series of strict safety tests before it can be put into use. These tests comprehensively evaluate the safety of the equipment from multiple dimensions such as structure, load, and impact resistance. Among them, static load testing and dynamic impact testing are the core links, directly related to the safety and reliability of children's play, and have become the focus of attention for parents and operators. The entire testing process can be divided into the following key steps:

1、 Appearance and structural inspection: Control basic safety details

  This is the primary step in security testing, and it is necessary to start from the details to identify security risks:

  Component installation inspection: Staff will inspect screws and connectors one by one to ensure that they are tightened and there is no risk of looseness or detachment, in order to avoid accidental separation of components during child use;

  Operation simulation: Testers will simulate the normal playing movements of children, check whether the sliding path of the slide is smooth and free of jamming, whether the climbing net rope is flexible and free of entanglement risks, and whether the swing swing is stable;

  Functional verification: Ensure that the movable parts of the device operate flexibly within the normal range of use, without any jamming, malfunction, or other situations, to avoid safety accidents caused by functional failures.

3、 Core testing process: Static load and dynamic impact testing

  Qualification criteria: During the testing process, observe whether the equipment shows obvious deformation, displacement, or structural damage; After the test is completed, the equipment should be able to recover to its original state without any structural damage, ensuring structural stability when children are playing in concentration or under significant static pressure.

  (2) Dynamic impact testing: evaluating impact resistance capability

  Testing method: Use a specific weight impact hammer or a simulated human body weight impact module to impact key parts of the equipment (such as the bottom of the slide, climbing frame columns, swing seats, etc.) at a specified height and speed;

  Test parameters: The impact force and frequency are set according to the device type and usage scenario to ensure coverage of dynamic behaviors such as collisions and jumps that may occur during children's play;

  Qualification criteria: After withstanding the specified number and intensity of impacts, the equipment must have no structural damage or component detachment, and its function should not be affected. Its impact resistance under sudden dynamic loads should be verified to avoid safety risks caused by equipment damage due to impact.

 4、 Other specialized tests: covering security requirements in multiple scenarios

  According to the characteristics of the equipment and the usage environment, targeted testing is also required:

  Stability testing: Check whether the equipment will tilt when subjected to external forces or lateral forces generated by children's play, to ensure the overall stability of the equipment;

  Environmental special testing: For equipment used in water or special environments (such as waterfront amusement facilities), waterproof, anti slip and other special tests need to be conducted to ensure safe use in special environments.

  5、 Test results and operational standards

  After all testing steps are completed, the following conditions must be met before it can be put into use:

  Record archiving: The operator should retain complete testing records, including testing methods, parameters, results, and information on testing personnel, for easy traceability in the future;
